1. Who We Are

ATEE Technologies Inc. (operating as ATEE) is a rideshare marketplace platform headquartered in Windsor, Ontario, Canada. We connect passengers seeking transportation with independent driver partners in the Windsor area and surrounding corridors.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Information You Provide Directly

• Account registration information: full name, email address, phone number, and profile photo
• Driver-specific information: government-issued identification, driver's licence, vehicle registration, vehicle insurance documentation, and vehicle details
• Payment information: processed securely through our payment provider — ATEE does not store full card numbers
• Trip information: pickup and destination addresses, proposed fares, and trip notes
• Communications: messages sent through the in-app chat feature between passengers and drivers

2.2 Information Collected Automatically

• Location data: GPS location is collected during active trips to enable real-time matching and navigation
• Device information: device type, operating system, and app version
• Usage data: how you interact with the ATEE app, including features accessed and time spent
• Trip logs: route taken, trip duration, and completion status for every journey

2.3 Information From Third Parties

• Identity verification services used during driver onboarding
• Payment processors for transaction processing

3. How We Use Your Information

ATEE uses the information we collect for the following purposes:

• To create and manage your account
• To match passengers with available drivers
• To process payments and maintain transaction records
• To provide in-app communication between passengers and drivers
• To verify driver identity and eligibility to operate on the platform
• To send push notifications regarding trip status, account activity, and platform updates
• To investigate and resolve safety incidents or disputes
• To improve the ATEE platform through anonymized usage analysis
• To comply with applicable Canadian laws and regulations, including PIPEDA
• To generate anonymized, aggregated mobility data reports for municipal and planning partners — no personally identifiable information is included in these reports

4. How We Share Your Information

4.1 Between Passengers and Drivers

When a ride is matched, limited information is shared between the passenger and driver to facilitate the trip — including first name, profile photo, vehicle details, and real-time location during the trip. Full contact details, addresses, and payment information are never shared between users.

4.2 With Service Providers

We share information with trusted third-party service providers who assist us in operating the platform, including payment processors, identity verification services, and cloud infrastructure providers. These providers are contractually bound to handle your data securely and only for the purposes we specify.

4.3 With Municipal and Planning Partners

ATEE may share aggregated, anonymized trip data with municipal partners including Transit Windsor and the City of Windsor for the purposes of mobility planning and service improvement. This data contains no personally identifiable information — it includes only trip volumes, route patterns, and demand statistics at the corridor level.

4.4 For Legal and Safety Purposes

We may disclose your information where required by law, in response to a valid legal request, or where we reasonably believe disclosure is necessary to protect the safety of any person, investigate fraud, or comply with applicable regulations.

4.5 We Do Not Sell Your Data

ATEE does not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties for marketing or commercial purposes. Ever.

5. Data Retention

We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services. Trip records are retained for a minimum of 24 months for safety and dispute resolution purposes. Driver documentation is retained for the duration of active driver status plus 12 months. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting contact@rideatee.com.

6. Your Rights Under PIPEDA

As a Canadian resident, you have the following rights under the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA):

• The right to access the personal information we hold about you
• The right to request correction of inaccurate or incomplete information
• The right to withdraw consent for non-essential data processing
• The right to request deletion of your personal information, subject to legal retention requirements
• The right to file a complaint with the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada

7. Data Security

ATEE implements industry-standard security measures to protect your personal information, including encrypted data transmission, secure cloud infrastructure, access controls, and regular security reviews. While no system is entirely immune to risk, we are committed to maintaining the security of your data and will notify you promptly in the event of a breach affecting your information.

8. Location Data

Location data is collected only during active trip sessions and is used solely to facilitate ride matching, navigation, and trip logging. You may disable location access through your device settings, though this will prevent you from using core platform features. ATEE does not track your location outside of active trip sessions.

9. Children's Privacy

The ATEE platform is intended for users aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal information from individuals under the age of 18. If you believe a minor has created an account on our platform, please contact us immediately at contact@rideatee.com.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or applicable law. We will notify users of material changes through the app or by email. Continued use of the platform following notification constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
